Hummus is one of the oldest foods that cuisine has known around the world. Its origins are highly disputed among the Middle East countries. Chickpeas – the main ingredient of hummus was consumed in ancient Palestine as well as in ancient Rome and was one of the earliest crops cultivated in Mesopotamia. But the one thing all people have in common when it comes to hummus is that everybody loves it equally, and enjoy gathering around and sharing this nutrition delight.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
- 1/4 cup tahini paste
- 2 cloves garlics
- Juice of 1 or 2cup lemons
- 4 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- salt & ground cumin as you like
- Cayenne pepper to garnish
